Opensky Outage

**update 17:00 Fri 9 March 07** The system was back in operation last night. There are still some rough edges and there will be occasional unavailability of some services until the last ones have been fixed. As the engineers said today "we always know when the maintenance is going to start - just not when it finishes".

Until they have finished, please bear with us. If the proxy or OS Client logins aren't working, please use VPN or vice versa. Barring any more unforeseen problems, full service should be restored finally very shortly.

**update 17:30 Thurs 8 March 07** Unfortunately this essential maintenance has over-run more than intended and so the service is still unavailable. The engineers tell me that it is nearly complete and the system should, barring unforeseen problems, be back in operation later tonight.

Eutelsat have announced that there will be an outage on Thursday 8 March 2007.

This is for essential system maintenance. Their notice said:

We regret to announce that there will be an outage from 9am CET until 12pm (March 8th). We are upgrading and reconfiguring servers and the only time we can do this is tomorrow morning.

We can only add our apologies for this break in service.
