Network discovered that there was an attempt to use the mail.opensky.net server as a spam relay.
This caused a server overload and the resolution involved a shutdown, reconfiguration and restart of the affected server.
During this time, users will have noticed performance problems with the mail server including service interruptions.
We apologise for this lack of service.
The solution has been put in place and you should all notice a rapid improvement and return to normal.
If it happens again, please tell us the time of the interruption and (important) your login.
