Introduction

Is satellite the best broadband technology?

Not necessarily. But if your home isn't covered by cable or ADSL, satellite broadband lets you browse, download and receive emails at the same - or even higher - speeds.

It has a different balance of pros and cons to terrestrial broadband and we want you to be happy with what we can provide instead of being dissatisfied with what we can't. We hope the service description and comparison gives you enough explanation.

Our advice for people who want broadband is this:

1) If you are in a Cable area, the best deal is probably from your cable operator. Especially if the deal is good enough for a combined telephone, television and internet access package. You should certainly compare this with the costs of your existing telephony operator.

2) If you're not in a Cable area, the best deal is probably an ADSL service. You can get this from many ISPs - including ourselves - as well as BT. In the UK, the ADSL technology is provided to all by BT but you can get a better deal from an ISP reseller. Compare the costs and service offerings.

3) If you're one of the millions of UK Homes who can't get broadband from terrestrial means, then satellite services such as ours could well be the only solution. And we can do things for you that no other service can. Read on to find out more.
