  • Opensky Accounts are monthly so if you open an account on the 15th of the month, it will last until midnight on the 14th of the next month.
  • All accounts are single user accounts delivering burst speeds of up to over 1 Mbit/s.
  • You need to have an existing ISP access method to access the service.
  • There is no overall download limit - however QoS limits are in place to protect the interests of the whole user community.

Each month, you get a certain amount of priority bandwidth: the quota amount.

You should get an average of 500kb/s over the month on your quota bandwidth.

Once this has been used, your connection reverts to "best efforts". There are no speed guarantees for "best efforts".

Priority AND Best Efforts can both burst to the maximum available on the system - up to over 1Mbps.

Best Efforts gives you unlimited downloads so you always have access to the network. You don't get automatically turned off and you don't incur any extra charges when you have used up your priority quota. (unlike other services).
